Ferrania Ibis 44

The Ferrania is an interesting proposition. Made in Italy in 1956 it has a 65mm lens with two apertures (ƒ7.7 and ƒ12), a focusing lens from 5 feet – ∞, and three shutter speeds, the fastest being 1/100th. All in all, it’s fairly versatile and tidy and of course it takes those seductive 4×4 negatives too. The film I put through it is Croatian Efke.

I bought this camera in Norwich a couple of weeks back and it was in excellent overall condition and it shows a good character when the conditions are right. Highly recommended and not at all challenging, it even has a double-exposure interlock on the film advance.
